Gary Kenneth Rivers, III was born on October 1, 1998, in Baltimore, MD to Mr. Gary Rivers, Jr and Pa’Tear Johnson. Although Gary is his birth name, he is affectionately called Kenneth/ Kenny. He was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He later studied Sociology with a concentration in Clinical Social Work at thee illustrious Morgan State University. Currently he attends Dominion Theological Seminary, studying Biblical Studies. 

 

At the tender age of 14 Pastor Rivers started proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Kenneth was later licensed at the age of 16. In 2018, Pastor Rivers was Ordained as an Elder. At a young age until adulthood, it was clear that Kenneth was called and set apart. During Elevation Christian Network (formally Holy Temple Pentecostal Churches) National Holy Convocation Pastor Rivers was appointed as Pastor-Elect of Holy Temple Pentecostal Church, Inc. And served his first term as pastor in 2023. He was also appointed as Overseer and Vice-President of Elevation Christian Network. 

 

Overseer Rivers accredits his spiritual growth to 3 primary people in his Life. His grandmother, Deacon Carolyn Rivers, His Spiritual Mother, Bishop Roberta Rhodes Miller, and His Spiritual Father, Apostle Jeffrey Knight. These three people earnestly pray for his well-being, the success of the ministry and beyond. Through these people Pastor Rivers has developed a powerful prayer life and a rich heritage in Pentecostalism. 

 

Kenneth has always devoted his life to the house of God, both locally and nationally. Locally he has served as the Youth Pastor, Praise Team Leader, and served as interim auxiliary president until one was found. Nationally, Kenneth has served as Director of Protocol, National YPU President, and Assistant General Secretary.

 

In 2017 Kenneth launched GKR Solutions LLC. a media and marketing firm. His business has served both locally and internationally designing for some of the most popular, innovative, and highly respected companies and pastors. He built such a brand that he has been a full time entrepreneur for several years. 

 

Pastor Rivers is an anointed preacher, teacher, and entrepreneur extraordinaire in his own right.

 

In 2022 God enlightened him on The Keeping of the 10 Commandments written by God’s own hand and His Holy Feast Days. Kenneth lives his life by the 10 Commandments. It’s through these commandments he has learned how to love God and love God’s people.
