What We Believe

Holy Temple Pentecostal Church, Inc. classifies itself as Pentecostal by denomination. We believe in the experience that the early church had on Shavuot "The Day of Pentecost," in where they were baptized in the Holy Spirit. We believe that the believer can still experience this today.

The Basics of What We Believe

God

We believe in one God who is eternal in His existence, Triune in His manifestation, being both Father, Son and Holy Ghost AND that He is Sovereign and Absolute in His authority.(Colossians 2:9, Deuteronomy 6:4)

Jesus Christ
Yeshua Hamashiach

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, bodily resurrection , and ascension unto the right hand of Almighty God is the cornerstone of our faith. We also believe that His all-sufficient power and atoning blood saves and cleanses us, through confession and repentance of sin, and faith in Christ Jesus alone. We believe that in Jesus Christ lies the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He is fully God and fully man.(John 1:1; Luke 1:35; Matt. 28:6; Acts 7:55; Heb. 9:14; Rom. 10:9,10)

Holy Spirit
Ruach Ha-kodesh

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the sign of speaking in other tongues. We believe that Believers must be filled daily by using our prayer language, but the evidence of the Holy Spirit's indwelling presence is a changed life through the expression of the fruit of the Spirit. (Acts 2:4; Ephesians 5:18-21, Galatians 5:22,23).

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God and that all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2Tim. 3:16)

Holiness

We believe that a life of holiness and separation from the world and sin is paramount to the believer, and that we must continually serve the Lord with a pure heart and a right Spirit. (2 Cor. 6:17; Ps. 51:10)

End Times

We believe in the rapture of the church and the Second Coming of Christ. We believe that believers will experience the restoration of the church and all that the Prophets have spoken, plus the visual and bodily return of Jesus Christ as He comes again to set His Kingdom in order on Earth. (Matt. 24:27-30;1 Thessalonians 4:14-17; Zech. 14:4,9)

Holy Days

We believe in keeping the statutes commanding the observance of the Holy Days. (Lev. 23:4; Lev. 16:29; Luke 2:41-42; Matthew 26:19; Acts 2; 1; Corinthians 5:9)
